We all make mistakes; it's an undeniable part of being human. Learning from those mistakes is what helps us grow. Yet, when the people closest to us point out our past errors, it can feel incredibly invalidating and painful.
I used to find myself dwelling on these moments, wondering how to make others understand my side of the story. The weight of my past missteps hung over me, a heavy burden that I didn't know how to put down.
I've made choices that led to significant setbacks in my life, and I take full responsibility for the consequences. Looking back, I can see that I had the power to choose a different path at those critical moments, but I didn't. I was naive, weak, and, yes, at times, foolish.
My younger self believed that the choices I made were the right ones, only to later discover their true cost. I've come to terms with these mistakes and shortcomings, and most importantly, I've learned to forgive myself for the things I've done and the things that were done to me.
While I can't change the past, I do have the power to create a better future. I don't have to return to the people and circumstances that once held me back.
I've also realized the importance of not conforming to other people's expectations or paying mind to their gossip and judgment. People often revel in discussing others' lives, as if they wish for them to have more problems to dissect. Life is full of such individuals, and it's crucial to create a protective fortress around your sense of self.
In the fortress of "myself," you'll find that only a select few friends are worthy of entry. These are the individuals who accept you without needing any proof. They believe in you, trust you, and like you for who you genuinely are.
One of these friends once shared valuable wisdom: "Seek your purpose without delay. It's never too late to begin. Spread love, for it will ultimately return to you."
So, here I stand, taking the first steps on my quest to find my true purpose. I wish the best for myself, just as I wish the same for those who, like me, seek to uncover the real purpose of life. Good luck to us all as we embark on this journey of self-discovery and redemption. 🌟
